Strawberry Jam

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. homemade strawberry jam* (optional)
  • 3 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice 
  • 3 oz. simple syrup
  • 2 oz Citrus Gin Artist in Residence
  • 2 oz Onoranza Aperitivo Lemon
  • 1/2 bottle of Versant Blanc

* Homemade strawberry jam: Cut strawberries (500g) into strips and place over medium heat in a saucepan. Add 1 1/2 cups sugar. Mashed potato the mixture with a potato masher until the sugar mixes completely with the strawberries. Bring to a boil and add 2 tablespoons lime juice and the zest of 2 limes. Boil for 15 minutes, stirring frequently and lowering the temperature if necessary. Cool and refrigerate. Keeps for 1 week. Delicious for breakfast too!

Preparation:
Prepare the strawberry jam
Cut strawberry strips
Cut lime slices
Squeezing lime juice
Prepare the simple syrup

Instructions :

Add all ingredients to a pitcher. Add ice to pitcher. Stir and combine all ingredients.

Serve over ice, garnished with a slice of lime buttered with jam, a strawberry and a basil leaf.
